Influences?

Arent teachers supposed to try and encourage you to become a better person and do what is best for you? Then why are they trying to tell me not to do things that I know will help brighten my future and make me a stronger person. I always thought of a teacher as someone I could talk to and they push me and tell me to reach for the stars but my view has changed.

chicken for a buck!!!

i went to work tonight and our main thing to concentrate on was chicken sandwiches for a buck. my manager said that we were to ask EVERY customer if they wanted to purchase one. over the four hours that i worked tonight i said would you like a chicken for a buck.... it is amazing how if you push and suggestive sell how many people give in and make that purchase.. chicken for a buck I dont want to here it EVER again or taste it... chicken for a buck... chicken for a buck.... chicken for a buck...

Stress....

I love going to school and getting to see all my friends and living life.... But the homework part of it sends me over the edge. I tend to get stressed out and freak out and quit. I try and make this pact with myself that I will do my homework and get good grades. I can never stick to it and I dont know why :( So this semester has just started and I have stuck to it and plan on doing it for the rest of the semester... if any of you have any ideas on how to stick to this pact PLEASE!!!!!! let me know it would be huge... But you may think i am wierd but i do really love school and learning new things.... i am a nerd and i love it lol....
But any suggestions please let me know thanks :)

Romance

when you think about the word romance you think that it involves a man with a woman or vise versa... well i went to my small group today and we are reading a book called captivating. it is about a girls relationship with god and what comes from it... today we discussed romance and how god can romance us.. amazing right well it is. there was a story on a guy who had been talking to god and then a whale came up close to the shore and it was not even mating season so that was his "kiss" from god.... i think that it is huge to have a relationship like this with god because if you do not have god in your life you will not go anywhere.... and to be able to have someone SOOOOOOOO amazing love you and want you just makes me speechless!!!!!

Life Flashes Before Eyes

It is just another sunny afternoon and I was running a few errands with my sister. We had made our first few stops and decided to head to Southwest to watch my brothers basketball game. Singing along to the radio and thinking that nothing could possibly go wrong. I am a good driver and I am very aware of my surroundings. My sister suddenly screams to remind me that we have to run home first to bring my dogs there bone. I check my mirrors and it looks clear to change lanes. I begin to cut across and a the sudden my sister is white in the face and she is trying to scream by nothing is coming out. I swerve away and pull over. immediatly the tears come and I begin questioning my sister. Everything was fine. When we were on our way home my sister finally spoke, "Amy I am not scared to die but for that second when I thought I was going to I really didn't want to" said Amanda. What do you say to a sixth grader who could have lost her life because of the one she looks up to. I learned that you should never take for granted the time you have and love every minute you get. Because who knows you could be dead in a day, minute, seconds........
